COVID-19 Regulations at our Campus

 

With the fact that we are living through a pandemic, and the academic year of 2021/2022 planned to be face-to-face most of the time, Ege University Senate has taken some precautions and published the regulations that will take place at our campus.

 

Here is what you need to know:

Ege University Senate has decided that,

 

a) Practical classes can be done taking the necessary precautions; theoretical parts of the classes can be done either face-to-face or online,

b) Theoretical classes can be done face-to-face, online or by using both,

c) Face-to-face classes will take place with diluted groups or by making groups take turns,

d) The a, b and c entries above will be decided by the related boards of the academic units by considering the aspects of the classes, physical possibilities of the classrooms and the amount of students,

e)Face-to-face classes and exams will be less than 30 minutes or not more than 45 minutes, there will be no block lectures, and the spaces used for classes will be ventilated in between each class,

f) All classes will require the attendance specified by the regulations (face-to-face, online or mixed),

g) All midterms, finals or make-up exams of the classes will be face-to-face,

h) All plannings will be done according to ''2020 Guide of New Normalization Period in a Global Pandemic'' by YÖK (Yükseköğretim Kurulu), the recent documents published by YÖK and safe campus rules by the academic units,

i) The spaces used for classes (classrooms, labs, etc.) will be arranged by the academic units according to the pandemic conditions,

j) Through all entries to our campus, anyone entering will have to show their HES Codes upon entry,

k) Through all entries to our campus, anyone entering will be required to have 2 doses of vaccination 14 day prior to entry or will need a PCR Test 72 hours prior, anyone who had Covid-19 in the last 3 months will be exempted from the PCR test,

l) Student attend to face-to-face classes as long as they wear a mask, practice social distancing and pay attention to hygiene rules,

m) In all open and closed places at our campus, wearing masks, social distancing and hygiene will be important,

n) As the pandemic is a dynamic period, according to the local course, regulations published by the government, changes can be done and these regulations and decisions could be revised.

With all that being said, please wear your masks and practice social distancing, after all, Erasmus is not fun when it is done online!
