Fun Fact About It: The 21st day of March, the 3rd month of the year, was chosen to symbolize the triple duplication (trisomy) of chromosome 21 that causes Down syndrome.
However, we should be aware of these loving individuals in our society not only on this specific day but every day.

What will we do? - Each of you will be paired with an individual with Down syndrome and create a portrait that reflects yourself with photos and articles that you will find in old newspapers and magazines!
